Fortunately, many scholarships are tailored towards high school students and graduates to help reduce your college tuition fees. Below are some scholarships that you can start applying for as a high school student.

 

1. ULTATEL Scholarship Grant

 

  • Offered by ULTATEL 
  • Scholarship Amount: $2,500
  • Deadline: January 31, 2022
  • Eligibility: 

                - U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.

                - Have an acceptance letter from a college or university

                - High school junior or senior who is graduating in the school year 2021-2022

                - Wishing to pursue a degree in one of the following career paths:

                              - Mass Communications

  • Scholarship Amount: $10,000
  • Deadline: December 31, 2021
  • Eligibility: 

                - Must be a U.S. student

                - Must be a legal U.S. resident

                - Must be 14 years or older

                - Must live in the 50 states or District of Columbia

 

3. Education Matters Scholarship 

  • Offered by Unigo 
  • Scholarship Amount: $5,000
  • Deadline: November 30, 2021
  • Eligibility: 

                - Must be a U.S. student

                - Must be a legal U.S. resident

                - Must be 14 years or older

                - Must live in the 50 states or District of Columbia

 

4. All About Education Scholarship

  • Offered by Unigo 
  • Scholarship Amount: $3,000
  • Deadline: April 30, 2022
  • Eligibility: 

                - Must be a U.S. student

                - Must be a legal U.S. resident

                - Must be 14 years or older

                - Must live in the 50 states or District of Columbia

 

5. Lift Parts Express Scholarship

  • Offered by Lift Parts Express 
  • Scholarship Amount: $500
  • Deadline: June 30, 2021
  • Eligibility: 

                - For U.S. and Canadian students

                - Must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen

                - Must be between the ages of 16-21

                - Must be a high school senior, college freshman, or college sophomore

                - Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher

 

6. Sutliff & Stout Annual First Step Scholarship

  • Offered by Sutliff & Stout Injury & Accident Law Firm
  • Scholarship Amount: $1,500
  • Deadline: July 30, 2021
  • Eligibility: 

                - Must be a U.S. student

                - Must be a high school senior, college undergraduate, or college graduate student

 

7. Apex Hosting Minecraft Scholarship 

  • Offered by Apex Hosting, LLC 
  • Scholarship Amount: $2,000
  • Deadline: July 31, 2021
  • Eligibility: 

                - GPA of 3.0 or higher

                - Must be a U.S. student

                - Must be a U.S. citizen

                - Must be a high school or college undergraduate student 

 

The benefit of applying for scholarships in high school is that you have more time and opportunities to obtain money to help you pay for college. In addition, these scholarship opportunities offered in high school alongside the ones offered in college can help decrease your overall costs for college, thus reducing or eliminating the total amount needed to be paid out of pocket.
