Today we celebrate love, happiness, and positivity, not an empty bank account. Please, don't break the bank on those you love. Trust me; there are a million ways to show someone you love them without spending a dime. Here are five Valentine's Day ideas that you can gift to that special someone:

 

Write a love letter

 

Who doesn't love a special love letter filled with appreciation and adoration? Make this gift handmade or send it through text with a loving GIF or picture.

Cook a nice homemade meal

 

Emphasis on homemade! You and your loved one can share a nice dinner and spend quality time together. Here is a list of my favorite homemade recipes.

Learn each other's love language

 

Have you heard of the five love languages? No!? Well, this is a great time to get to know your partner and learn their primary love language. Take the quiz here.

 

Exercise together

 

What's a better way to show that you love someone than to get fit with them? Exercising with your partner shows that you care about both your and their health. Although this idea may not sound like the go-to option, it can have a positive impact on your relationship. 

 

Alternative option: Spend quality time together by going on a 30-minute walk. It's so easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and neglect your partner without ill intention. Giving your partner undivided attention will show that you love them.

 

Create a coupon book

 

Create a small book filled with about 10-20 pages, and on each page, write a special message along with a free item that they can "cash-in" on items like a 15-minute foot rub, washing dishes for two weeks, or picking up the groceries. Personalize the book with things that you know your partner will genuinely appreciate.
