Attending college comes with a high cost, and unfortunately, not everyone has the financial capability to pay off their tuition in full. However, there are different ways to help reduce the cost of attending college. One of these methods is applying for and obtaining scholarships. Below are some of the top scholarships we gathered that are now open to college students.

 

1. Shook & Stone Scholarships | Deadline: December 1, 2021

  • Offered by Shook & Stone
  • Scholarship Amount: $2,500
  • Eligibility: 

         - GPA of 3.0 or higher

         - Must be an undergraduate or law student

 

2. SixSurgery Scholarship | Deadline: September 15, 2021

  • Offered by Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute
  • Scholarship Amount: $1,200
  • Eligibility: 

         - Legal resident of Canada or the United States, or hold a valid student Visa

         - Must not be an employee of Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute or associated companies

          - Education will continue through Fall 2021

         - Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in Canada or U.S. where the undergraduate program is related to medicine or healthcare

 

3. Future Leaders in Tech $20,000 Scholarship | Deadline: August 20, 2021

  • Offered by Perlego 
  • Scholarship Amount: $5,000 per academic year
  • Eligibility: 

         - GPA of 3.0 or higher

         - Interested in/studying technology, computer science, or engineering

         - Scholarship for those who fit one of the following requirements: 

                  - All women 

                  - All minorities

                  - Those in financial need

 

4. Mr. Digital Piano Innovative Annual Writing Scholarship | Deadline: August 15, 2021

  • Offered by Mr. Digital Piano
  • Scholarship Amount: $1,000
  • Eligibility: 

         - Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher if studying at university

         - 70% score or higher in the previous grade if studying at college

         - Must be between 18-30

 

5. Flavor of the Month Scholarship | Deadline: July 31, 2021

  • Offered by Unigo
  • Scholarship Amount: $1,500
  • Eligibility: 

         - Must be a U.S. student

         - Must be a legal U.S. resident

         - Must be 14 years or older

         - Must live in the 50 states or District of Columbia

 

6. VanEd Cares Scholarship | Deadline: July 31, 2021

  • Offered by VanEd
  • Scholarship Amount: $1,000
  • Eligibility: 

         - Must be a U.S. citizen that is enrolled at an accredited college or university as a full-time student

 

7. PMC One Planet | Deadline: July 15, 2021

  • Offered by Population Media Center 
  • Scholarship Amount: 4 scholarships of $2,000 each; 12 scholarships of $1,000 each
  • Eligibility: 

         - Must be an undergraduate student in the latter of 2021 or 2022

 

8. White-Glove Moving Scholarship | Deadline: July 15, 2021

  • Scholarship Amount: $1,000 
  • Eligibility: 

         - Must be going into Freshman or Sophomore year

 

 

The benefit of applying for scholarships is you have a shot at free money. When a college student’s financial situation may not be the best, scholarships offer a great opportunity to gain access to money. Therefore, it is highly recommended for college students to search for scholarships and apply for them as soon as possible, as the scholarship committee usually prioritizes early submissions.
