Message from CapWay’s founder, Sheena Allen:
Although I didn’t get to see my full vision for CapWay come to life, I truly hope that CapWay made a positive impact on many lives. My hope is that the battles we fought for financial inclusion contribute to ultimately winning the larger war. Achieving fair financial access for all will take time, along with the combined efforts of startups, advocates, and changemakers. I’m proud that CapWay was part of that fight for change.
The journey wasn’t always easy, but challenges are to be expected when you’re working to disrupt the norm. As the founder and CEO, I learned countless lessons—both good and bad—from operating CapWay. I’ll carry the wins, losses, and even the scars from my mistakes as tools to become a better founder, CEO, mentor, and advocate as I continue on my entrepreneurial path.
While this chapter didn’t end as I envisioned, the work isn’t done. I remain committed to advocating for financial inclusion in new ways. I also encourage you to join me in supporting others who are working tirelessly to create a better, fairer financial system.
I didn’t build CapWay alone, and it would be unfair to take all the credit. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to this journey—whether you worked alongside me, used our services, or spread the word about CapWay. To all of you, thank you for your unwavering support over the years.
The journey continues, and together, we can still make a difference.
